My husband caught the cold and/or flu. The first part of it was a fever. I made a cold and flu tea. The tea blend is used for fevers: The combination is: 1 part elderflowers, 1 part yarrow leaf and flower, 1/2 part peppermint and 1/2 part rosehips. This blend worked really well. I am also giving him echinacea tincture. He is also taking the fire cider and the elderberry syrup. Next phase, there seems to be a lot of tiredness and some lung congestion. I have upped the dosage of the echinacea tincture, I made a few jars of mullien infusions that will be ready for tomorrow. The last thing, that I did, was make a chest poultice. It is made with onions, garlic, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and flour of choice to thicken it up. The chest poultice has knocked him out :) As I am typing this our bull-mastiff is snoring and so is my husband. They are alternating. Very funny. No my husband does not snore very often, it is quite rare. I think the chest poultice just really relaxed him, which is very good.
