Hello All,
Mountain Mama Wellness updates on Friday May 12th 2023
Saturdays: Farmers Market at the Grange 10:00 AM – 2:00 Pm
Starting May 11th Thursday Farmers Market 11:00 PM – 5:00 PM
I am booth 71 across the street on the Baptist Church Side in their parking lot.

Hard to believe it is already May 12th!! Summer is headed our way, which means everything is in rapid growth mode. At my farm it is amazing to see how much everything has grown! Including my granddaughters!

Every day I sit outside and enjoy a cuppa tea. I sit with a loved one and sometimes in solitude. This time of year while sipping tea I am sitting in a forest of bird song. The Wrens arrived a few weeks ago and the males are trying to call in their mates. The Wrens make a beautiful sound while calling in the female bird of their dreams. This week I also heard the Swainson Thrush calling out to its flock and will soon be singing its summer song. All day the birds are sharing their gift of song, which sends me into a happy state. Right now I sit with this amazing concert of bird song while sipping a cuppa tea, while gardening, while watering, while hiking and in the early morning while lying in bed. I could sit all day in stillness and listen to them, and I feel blessed for their presences.

My granddaughter Satinka is enjoying the Dandelions. She is blowing the Dandelions wishes everywhere and today she made the mistake of giving them a kiss, which meant Dandelion seeds stuck to her mouth, we both giggled at that.
She and I made a Sun Tea out of the Dandelion Flowers and added some of my Tranquility Tea.
We took a 2 cup mason jar
About ¼ to ½ cup Dandelion flowers
2 tablespoons of Tranquility Tea
Pour water into the jar and fill it up.
Put the lid on
Let steep in the sun for about 2 to 4 hours.
You could also do a lunar infusion and let it sit under the stars and moon over night. It is magical

The apple blossoms are blooming as are the Lilacs and Hawthorns.
If you have Hawthorn Flowers this would be the time to pick some and some leaves and make a tincture, glycerite, vinegar, oxymel, infused honey, or dry them for tea. You could also make a Hawthorn Flower essence

If you have Lilacs then I would encourage you to make a Lilac infused honey, it is Beautiful and Awesome!
You could also make Apple Blossom Flower Essence

Mother’s Day is Sunday:
Come check out my booth at the Farmers Market at The Grange and pick out a few items to shower her with. While you are there stop by other vendors booths they have many lovely items that mom will most likely love. There is baked goods, produce, lamb, plants and more.

These monthly wellness boxes will have information on each item, information on each herb used, the recipes (just in case you want to recreate something you enjoyed) each box will be based on a theme. For example summer is coming up and the June box will be a Summer Herbal First Aid Kit.
The Cost is $60.00 for a Mountain Mama Wellness Box.
May’s Mountain Mama Wellness Box –
May’s wellness box is full of love, beauty and vitality. It is full of items to help you rest, repair and bring you into a state of vitality. Last week I talked about a vinegar reduction that I was making. It turned out beautiful and the color is a robust red. I am getting pretty excited about putting all of these items together as we approach the delivery day.
This month’s box will have items that help with inflammation. I felt this was an important subject since so many of us are dealing with some sort of inflammation. Emotional stress and environmental stress will cause inflammation in one’s body and these days there is a lot of stress in one's life. The effects of stress can range from allergies, skin issues, body aches, dehydration, tummy troubles, acid reflux, insomnia, heart attacks, high blood pressure, etc. Chronic stress puts your health at risk and creates an inflamed body. This box is about cooling stress down and reduces inflammation in the body. I will also give some helpful ideas to help you manage stress.
In this box, there will be Cacao Rose Bitters, a tincture for inflammation, infused vinegar, a tea, salve, infused honey, smudge stick and a foot soak and/or bath soak/
If you would like a May Box, you need to pre-pay.
Pre Order Now: Ways to Pay:

Fatty Lavender/ Tea Tree Rosemary Soap I personally love Fatty Soap and now so does Joseph. Neither of us like to use soap bars because they always give you that feel of something stuck to your skin after you have rinsed off. What I love about Fatty Soap is that it has extra oil, herbal powders and oat powder added to it. By doing this it feels like it is also moisturizing your skin. I have to admit that they are A LOT of work, but fun to do and the end product is worth it.

Floral Cleansing Grains: Use as a scrub or a Mask. It is great for clearing up your complexion, helps neutralize excess oil, pulls out impurities, plumps up and moisturizes your skin, and helps promote a glowing complexion. The Floral Cleansing grains ingredients are kaolin clay, oat powder, French green clay, calendula pd., chamomile pd., lavender pd., rose pd., turmeric pd., matcha pd., lavender eo, ylang ylang eo, geranium eo, chamomile eo and LOVE.
Turmeric has antibacterial and antiseptic properties and can help keep your complexion clean and clear. It is also perfect for mature skin that has become increasingly sensitive (calms and soothes troubled or reactive skin).
Take a couple tablespoons and make into a paste. You can make into a paste by add water or rose water/hydrosol.
Use as a scrub or as a mask
For Mask: Apply and keep on your face for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off.
After use: Apply a face toner and moisturizer.
Ideas For Making A Mask:
For Dry Skin – Add cream (coconut cream, dairy cream, yogurt etc.) optional a touch of honey and rose hydrosol (honey is a natural humectant)
For Normal Skin – Add milk (diary, yogurt or alternative milk) optional a touch of honey and rose hydrosol

The Fatty Lavender Soap, is not available till next week. It needs to set and I am working on how to package it. I personally love Fatty Soap and now so does Joseph. Neither of us like to use soap bars because they always give you that feel of something stuck to your skin after you have rinsed off. Hello All,

Mountain Mama Wellness updates on Friday April 14th 2023

13417480856?profile=original

Today I have a bit of a recap and some new items to introduce. Also attached the pdf.   I recently found the domain name that I like.  It was a bit tough because there are other Mountain Mamas out there.  I actually can’t believe this was available. When I get my website up and running it will be: www.mountainmommawellness.com

My e-mail is MountainMamaWellness@protonmail.com or if you have a different e-mail that I still use then that works also.

My phone number: 505-472-6656

I am now on Instagram.  I am not sure how all this works, and I do not know (yet) how to tell you how to find me. I am under soul_medicine2023 / Mountain Mama Wellness by Phoenix Sanders. So if you use Instagram, please find me and if you like start following me.

I recently changed a website that I have had for about 10 years from www.mcminnvillehealthdefense.ning.com to  www.mountainmomma.ning.com. ;

But… I am having tech issues and now my site is not coming up.  I am in contact with the tech people and they are working on it.

After I am finished with the website I will start on an etsy shop.  On that note since my website is going to take more time and etsy seems a bit easier I have started my etsy account.  It is not up yet because I have to enter all my items with all their information, which includes photos, ingredients, all measurements, their weight etc.   My official etsy shop name will be Mountain Moma Wellness.

It is official the Mountain Mama Wellness Boxes are happening!  I have been working on the information for my Mountain Mama Wellness Boxes this week and I was going to put the information here today.  But I just realized the information is in a notebook at home. The super short version, each monthly wellness box will have a theme with several items for you to enjoy and use.  These monthly wellness boxes will have information on each item, information on each herb used, the recipes (just in case you want to recreate something you enjoyed)each box will be based on a theme. For example summer is coming up and the June box will be a Summer Herbal First Aid Kit. The official start for this will be May 2023, a great way to celebrate May Day!!   The cost is $60.00 a month. I am debating on keeping a few theme boxes available for purchase (separately) year around. Such as a Menopause Box, Pregnancy Box, Men’s Health, Women’s Vitality etc.

New items of the week:  This week’s new items gave me the wonderful opportunity to be with my friend the Rose.  What better timing to, this is that time of year I am out hiking and I literally smell the wild rose bush when I walk by it. Yes you read that right, there are no blossoms at this time of the year, but as the Wild Rose Bush wakes up it literally gives off this intoxicating rose scent that comes from the leaves and branches. It is literally calling out to you saying summer will be here soon, just breathe in my scent, be happy and you will see my blossoms soon.   The Rose has many incredible and amazing health benefits, not to mention it is a wonderful aromatic bush. The rose tells you to relax, to love, to open your heart to love, it can wake up the senses for a night of passion, it rejuvenates and regenerates the skin.   Just smelling the scent of rose gives a calming and relaxing effect.

Rose Cold Cream is now available.  It is a moisturizer that rejuvenates and replenishes your skin. It can also be used as a cleanser. Just put a light coat on and gently wipe it off with a soft tissue.  You will be amazed at the dirt that it can pullout.  Don’t forget to do it to your neck.  After you use it to cleanse your skin, if you feel like it, apply a light coat to moisturize your skin.   This wonderful cream can be used just as a moisturizer.  I also love this cream as a full body moisturizer and I love using it after I get out of the shower.  What better way to start your day than smelling like a rose.

Ah but it gets better.  I also added a couple of flower essences.  Flower Essences are a healing vibrational energy medicine.  They are amazing and I have been using them for many years.  The Rose Cold Cream has Oak Flower Essence and Honeysuckle Flower Essence in it.

13417480489?profile=original

Oak Flower Essence helps those who are extremely positive (but get burnt out) in their approach to life.  They are fighters who never lose hope or give up. Any problems they have stem from their tendency to draw constantly on their internal strengths, ignoring nature’s alarm signals and exhausting even their massive energy reserves as a result. .  Oak helps recharge your batteries and it will help you recognize that there are limits even to your strength and that there is a time to rest.

Honeysuckle Flower Essence helps those who have a tendency to look to the past, maybe to happier days.  As a result, there is a risk of losing interest in the issues and demands of the present, missing out on much of life as a result through a preoccupation with past events and happenings. The remedy will help those who struggle with this by encouraging them to focus more on the present, helping them to put the past into perspective, so that it does not come to dominate their thoughts.  Honeysuckle may help bereaved people who think back all the time, or act as if their loved one were still alive.   The next new items are:

Yoni Butter Cocoa Butter, this one is almost the same as my other one, but has less bees wax and more of a cocoa butter smell.  It is like using cocoa on your yoni, it’s nice, slippery and is a great sensual moisturizing lubricant.   If you have a partner that loves to give you a full body massage this yoni butter works great for this also.   Something most women do not think about, we always moisturize our hands, faces, body and feet.  But after a shower you can also moisturize your yoni with yoni butter.

Next is Ylang Ylang Rose Facial Spray. Give yourself a few spritzes on your face and then apply your moisturizer.  You can also spritz your face when you feel like you need a lift.

Then there is Clary Sage and Lavender Body Mist:  The scent is uplifting and can help with bringing hope and joy into your day.  It has three different Flower Essences in it.  It has the star of Bethlehem, Gorse and Sweet Chestnut.

The last new item for this week is, Full Moon & New Moon Salt Soak. I would like to encourage you to add foot soaks and bath soaks into your life. Start new rituals of soaking in the healing waters of life a few times a week or at least one time a week.  Get a few candles, get some flowers and fill a tub, make a cuppa relaxing tea, put the soft music on, turn out the lights and soak your body or feet  Help yourself, learn to mother yourself,  and reconnect to the natural rhythms of nature.

These days so many need rituals to mother themselves why not start with a soak, not only is it super important for vitality it encourages you to stop, be still, be silent and go back into the warm watery womb of life.  .So as the sun sets in the west and the darkness of the night approaches, slow down and fill the tub.  Remember the sun sets in the west and gives you a beautiful sunset, but it also reminds you to take in the gift of calm to help you sleep all night long.  The night sky is a reminder there is always beauty and light and this beauty and light reminds you to take the gifts of silence and stillness of the night to help you sleep all night.  So when you wake up you can be happy, healthy and whole so you can take compassion and love wherever you go.

Full Moon and New Moon Salt Soak:  Baking soda, black lava salt, rose petals, Himalayan pink salt, Artemisia vulgaris, lavender buds, Epsom salt, bentonite clay, clary sage eo, geranium rose eo and LOVE
Skin Bliss is still available! (I only have a few jars left) This is one of my most popular creams. Skin Bliss is great for most skin types such as normal, dry and mature.
I made another batch of Calm Body Cream – Luscious Moisturizer. I sold all but one last Saturday and that one is going to my niece. This moisturizer works for those who need to have a light moisturizer. This moisturizer works for oily skin, normal, dry, and mature. My daughter Raquel loves it and also uses it on my granddaughters.

Every Saturday I will be at the Farmers Market at The Grange and will continue to be there every Saturday. I will also be in the Thursday Farmers Market which starts May 11th. I will do my best to update you with what products I will have each week. Each week I will be adding more products.

“When You Get Down To the Heart of the Matter, the Heart Is What Matters”
Each year when February comes around, most of us think of it as a romantic holiday, a day to share love and of course a day to share and enjoy chocolate. February is a time that I often think of the heart, my heart, my family’s hearts and the hearts of our community. Valentine’s Day has to do with love and it reminds me to think of my heart, my heart center and my heart path. It is a reminder to walk with love. It is also a reminder to check in with myself to see what I could be missing, mind, body, and spirit. It is a reminder to check in to see what I have walled up in there, am I stressed, things I should forgive, gratitude list, my self-care, my diet, my exercise plan and am I on my heart centered soul path.
I also think about how I am (or others are) digesting life because this also affects the heart. If someone is not digesting life then this could cause a multitude of health problems. When we think of the health of our heart most think about changing their food, adding exercise and reducing stress, which is great. But there is one big subject that needs to be added to this list, which is how our emotions affect our hearts (and those around you), past and present life struggles that affect the heart and is one digesting life with ease, or all clogged up? .If any of that sounds familiar let me just say not only is it important to make some serious life style changes but it is also time to call on the help of herbs.
The last BIG one is life stress, the current stresses of our lives especially these last few years is most likely the highest most of us humans have experienced in our life time. Let’s make 2023 more enjoyable by making the changes we need to make and by calling upon the help of herbal nervine’s, flowers and flower essences.
In this four hour workshop you will learn the Matters of the heart: The best way to strengthen your relationship with your heart by adopting a healthy lifestyle which includes mind, body and spirit care. Not only will you learn what your heart needs by learning about a combination of nutrients to help you function at your best. You will also go home with some knowledge on herbal remedies, movement, meditation, community, creativity, mind and spirit self-care, letting go and more.
Come join me and others and let’s learn to feed our hearts with positive information, wellness and wisdom.
Class Subjects: Herbs For The Heart, Herbal Nervines, Bitters, Foods For The Heart, Foods To Avoid, Using Flowers, Flower Essences, Rituals for Healing The Heart – Letting Go/Self Care ,Chocolate, The Power of Words, Meditation/The Breathe of Life, The Art of Mandalas/The Making of a Heart Mandala
You Will Create: A Heart Health Tincture, Bitters and Create a Heart Mandala
You will go home with your heart health tincture, a bitter, heart mandala, Let the Sunshine In Syrup (adaptogenic tonic), a tea blend and notes from the workshop.

It is November 22, 2022 and it is that time of the year.   It always happens, year after year after year and it is just apart of our lives.

13417470675?profile=original

Solar flares can cause it, 5G can cause it, EMF's can cause it, sugar definitely causes it, lack of nature causes it, lack of wearing the right winter clothes causes it, lack of sleep can do it, staying inside in stuffy houses will do it, no exercise will do it, high heat in the house causes it, stress causes it, fast food causes it, lack of community causes it, video games can do it, to much screen time can do it,  and more.

One might ask "What Is She Talking About?".  I am talking about what happens every year usually after Halloween/Samhain and again in the spring.   It happens after the great sugar fest which seems to continue all the way to Easter.    A few days before Halloween/Samhain, I told someone just watch after Halloween, you will see people getting sick.  It is nothing new and I have been able to time it almost like clock work every year, year after year and yes way before the 2019......

What is it?  It's all things Respiratory, tis the Season.   Colds, flus, sinusitis, aches, pains, coughs, congestion, stomach bugs, running noses,  and unfortunately for some bronchitis and pneumonia.  It is all things Respiratory tis the Season.    I personally understand what it is like to have a respiratory issue, plus sinusitis and then get pneumonia.  It happened to me about 23 years ago, twice!  For me what caused it was a multitude of factors, such as emotional stress, environmental stress, and most likely spiritual stress.   I have had my kids get some of the worst sinus issues while they were growing up.  I am talking blowing out brown and orange.

My dad (non-biological) was sick and stressed and it turned into pneumonia while he was in the hospital.  He died at the age of 65 years old.  As much as it broke my heart at the age of 13, as an adult I realize death is a part of our lives and it is not going to go away.  I also realized that my dad did everything wrong, pharmaceutical drugs, super bad diet, world war 2 depression, and his job had environmental toxins involved.  We as a society should start to understand death better, embrace it when it is time for those to leave and not fear it.   That is a whole other subject so more on that a different time.

This season happens because we go back inside too much, people sit too much, they stay in over heated houses too much, people eat sugar way too much,  people begin to eat out too much, people stay up late too much, people surround themselves with toxic synthetic fragrances too much all of this and more makes the immune system take a dive.  This dive happens from all the physical, mental, emotional and environmental stress that comes with this time of the year.

It is not going away and that is OK.  It truly is OK.  One needs to look at it like what did I do wrong, meaning why do I have a toxic build up?  And truly be thankful that your body is willing to get sick and purge out the toxins.

Plus too many people watch a lot of fear porn and most of it is not worthy of your attention.   It is one thing to be informed, but to the point that you have burned out your adrenal glands from fear, worry and disgust, is too much,  It is just plain super toxic.

Letting your phone control your life is toxic.  Living with your phone like it is a part of your body is super toxic.   Learn to only pull it out when needed.  Learn to not use it for entertainment.    You don't need to look at it walking through the parking lot and you really don't need to look at it from one store to the other.   Cellphone stress is very real you don't need to hold it in your hand all the time.  This cellphone stress causes severe burn out.   Look up more and visit the world.

It is the year 2022, and it seems a large part of the population likes to complain.   Remember not only you are what we eat, but the other saying is You Are What You Think.   Your world is not only created by your actions but it is also created by how you think and it is your choice to have a good life, bad life, sick life, or healthy life.

Hopefully I have established that it is nothing new to deal with respiratory illnesses.  Each year they are different, and can affect people different ways, every year.  Some years are super bad, some years are mild, some years are moderate.  When you add the above factors to this time of the year it really depends on ones life style, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually how their body will deal with what ever is being shared among them.

This is not the time of year, to stay up late, live on a screen, eat sugar, eat fast food and/or processed food, take drugs, drink to much alcohol, and it is not the time of year to live off of too much caffeine.   Winter is here but it does not mean stay inside.  Inside air is toxic, humans need nature and fresh air.

Here is a list of things to do, not to do, herbal remedies etc.  To Stay Healthy

At night turn off the Wi-Fi to your house for the night

Sleep in a dark room

Try a Black Out Sleep Mask

Put EMF protection devices on you, on your phone and in your house

Never put a TV screen or computer screen in the bedroom

Never sleep in your bedroom with your cell phone in the room

Turn all screens off by 7:00 pm

Eat dinner no later than 7:00 pm

Go to bed by 10:00 pm

Have a little bit of fresh air come through the house, crack a window open.  Tiny opening.

Don't over heat your house

Go for hikes

Do Forest Bathing

Add Meditation To Your Daily Life

Laugh more

Play more

Hydrotherapy a few times a week or more.

Avoid toxic hand sanitizers.  I personally have never ever used hand sanitizer ever in my life.   I carry a mini Dr. Bronners travel soap in my purse.

If you really feel you need hand sanitizer then make a homemade herbal one:

Keep in mind a lot of places use Rubbing Alcohol.  Rubbing alcohol is petroleum based and toxic.

2/3 cup Everclear

3 tablespoons organic aloe vera

1/2 teaspoon organic vegetable glycerin

20 drops of Organic Germ Destroyer

https://www.planttherapy.com/organic-germ-destroyer-kidsafe-essential-oil-10-ml

OR

10 drops  organic tea tree oil essential oil

5 drops  organic lavender essential oil

5 drops organic Rosemary essential oil

Avoid dryer sheets and synthetic fragrances that are used in laundry soap

Avoid all synthetic fragrances, they are toxic for the environment and you (your lungs).  That means no candles, perfumes, lotions and many more products.  If  they say fragrance don't buy.  The word fragrance means toxic synthetic.  Use products that say essential oils.  Not fragrance essential oils.

Avoid synthetic air fresheners such as Fabreeze, plug in air fresheners and glade etc.

Synthetic fragrances will harm your lungs, liver and immune system avoid them all the time.

Take the proper amount of Vitamin D

Drink bone broth daily or at least 3 times a week

http://mcminnvillehealthdefense.ning.com/profiles/blogs/bone-broth

Eat a variety of whole organic foods daily

Avoid soy, gmo corn and no canola

Avoid food intolerances.  Meaning avoid foods that cause inflammation in your body.  Follow a Anti-Inflammatory Diet, there's plenty of information out there, such as books and cookbooks.

https://draxe.com/nutrition/anti-inflammatory-foods/

Do not drink dairy unless it is raw

Only eat raw cheese

Eat soaked and dehydrated pumpkin seeds daily

Eat fermented food

Add prebiotic foods to your daily diet

Take a probiotic supplement

Eat organic vegetables daily

Eat organic berries, apples  daily

Avoid oranges, they are a mucous forming food.

Drink chick pea miso a few times a week

Daily dose of seaweed

Fish oil that has been tested for heavy metals

NO WHITE SUGAR

AVOID ALL SWEETS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

Eat more warming soups and stews

Winter time is not the time to drink cold drinks or eat cold foods

No fast food, no junk food, no drive through

Eat with family

Eat at the table with no screens

Eat slow and enjoy your food

Dress according to the weather.  If it is winter then keep your body warm.  I see way to many people not dressing properly.  You can't expect your immune system to work if it is having a hard time keeping you warm.

Drink a variety of herbal nourishing teas, such as oat top, oat straw, nettle, dandelion leaf, mullein, peppermint, rosehips, horsetail etc.

http://mcminnvillehealthdefense.ning.com/profiles/blogs/kick-start-your-heart-tea-recipe-high-vitamin-c

Drink a variety of herbal roots and berries made by decoction method, such as burdock root, dandelion root, hawthorn berries, and more.

Herbal Nervines are important.  Nourishing your nervous system is vitally important.  Drink relaxing cups of tea in the evening (a few hours before bed).  Drink chamomile, lemon balm, passion flower, valerian, skullcap, etc.

One last thing:

Take this advise from me, I can speak from experience.  This comes from a very recent experience that I had.

1. Never get dehydrated, it is easy to do if you are ill.

2.  If you are the care taker and you get sick, make sure your family is monitoring your water and liquid intake.  Make sure they know what to do and what to give you.

If you don't do this you could end up in the hospital. And some times hospitals do more harm then good.

I wanted to end on something positive.  I personally love watching a sunset.  I love watching a sunrise, but for me something about sunset really speaks to me.   I wrote this back in 2015:

The sunset is a reminder to find the light in life at your most saddest, darkest times. The light brings peace, beauty, love, forgiveness, urges you to open your heart, let go of ego, and bring down those walls. A heart with walls, eventually stops beating.. For the light reminds us that being in the dark is OK, as long as we remember to rise.

Gift of the Wind

A Gift from the Wind

Over the last few days or more I have not been in town. When I am at home it is as if time does not exist. There is no time and these winter days, the days and nights go by fast. There is no time at home and on the land, it is just life. Time itself keeps us boxed in  and it keeps one from not paying attention to the natural rhythms of the day.

This is how my granddaughter Satinka describes our day.

"Go To Sleep"

"Sleep"

"Waked Up"

"Ya Ya Stay Here"

"Satinka Drink Hot Cocoa"

"Work in Garden"

"Make Medicine"

"Dance"

"Eat "

"Sleep"

Life is so beautiful and simple as a toddler

I have been at home taking in the feeling of nature, trees, herbs and family. I spent the weekend at home deep with the plants, and making medicine with my beautiful granddaughter Satinka. My daughter Raquel also worked on her own recipes and projects. At times the music would come on, deep drumming and chanting sounds vibrating through the house. As the music flowed Satinka would get dressed up, get her drum and her shakers, she is already learning the ways of mother earth, her energy and movements of grounding oneself. We all moved, connecting and grounding ourselves with Mother Earth. When we start it is as if something wants us to keep going......... More so lately The world at this moment seems so dark for so many, but yet there is a bright light out there waiting. One just has to stop, slow down, put the screen down and one can feel or see it. Just grab it and pull it in. It is there whispering in the wind.... Speaking the words of find your soul path.... Yesterday it was time to head into town as I drove slowly through the mountains of Oregon with every curve the trees and leaves looked beautiful, I was in awe. It was as if the golden glow was trying to say something as they twirled and swirled. I was focusing on being heart centered as I head back into the world. Breathing deep I noticed something was feeling different, looking different, my heart was being wrapped with love and joy. I was enjoying the beauty of it all that I was seeing. I put some hard core Viking music on, as the throat singing started and I listened deeply to the beautiful sound of the woman vocals, and all of a sudden I was in this magical moment, time felt slow.

Song: Heilung | LIFA - Fylgija Ear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJvcN41H3Is

I understand this song is a bit hard core, but to me it speaks of life and energy.

The wind was speaking to me, the leaves moved with the vibration of my heart center, dancing slowly, floating up and twirling around. At one point the leaves and one in particular moved like an animal moving across the road. It was as if it was dancing in slow motion. My husband giggled, because I was driving and I slowed down like one would to avoid hitting an animal. It was magical and surreal. I was given a gift, a gift of floating in time while the wind swirled around me releasing its joy and playful spirit into me. This moment left me floating all day, as time moved on, the feeling of a slow dance stayed with me. The dancing leaves, which were the voice of the wind twirled around me and penetrated deep into my heart. This moment was so surreal, that one would have thought drugs were involved but they were not, just pure spirit coming to me. It was a reminder to stay heart centered, to let the wind carry you and breath deep. Let the wind tickle you and fill you with joy The world is changing fast, its spinning, its twirling and we have no control, but we do have control over what we let in our hearts. Let the wind carry you, hold beauty in your heart and stay heart centered. The spinning and twirling of life will be more enjoyable if you let the wind carry it instead of you. Today I am still spinning and twirling, the gift is incredible, it was like the gift of a spinning baby coming into this world. It was a gift that presented itself as the Rebirth of Joy. Open heart center, feeling the wind carry my body and I am still floating. As I worked through my day, a song came to me I just found it, like I usually do. The spirit knows what I need and brings sacred musical joys to me. The goddesses of dance have called upon me for many years and I have not listened. It is time..

A song that touches my soul deeply: Jon Henrik Fjällgren · Aerpie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpShGnT55Ms

The video link below is me doing a little bit of shadow dancing: I just heard the song today and decided to do some energetic movement.

Phoenix Rising is coming, rebirth through dance classes. Including shadow dance and the veil womb dance, which is done to encourage one to be reborn.... Watch for upcoming classes:

Phoenix Rising

Come Dance with Me

Come dance and learn to move to the energetics of the energy that surrounds you and that is in you. Most people think of dance as going to a dance class and learning certain moves, such as ballet, jazz, hip hop etc. These types of trainings are super and great, but most don’t teach you to feel, to feel the music and where this music and the energy of it teaches your body to go. Most teach their students certain moves and then take these certain moves and create a choreographed dance. Most of the time the music that is used is music that is not healthy for your energy field and at times very inappropriate. Then there are those that think of dance as something that you go out to a club and do. For entertainment, we can go and watch beautiful shows that show the skills of a highly trained individual. But have you ever thought about using dance as a means of doing energy work, such as Tai Chi? Well I am here to tell you that you can and that you just need to follow your bodily instincts. Most will say what bodily instincts, I can’t dance or I have two left feet. But we all have bodily instincts that would allow us to move in a way that our bodies would like to move. Have you ever put a song on and just felt it to your core or anything else in life that all of a sudden it reached deep into you soul so much so that you felt lighter after the experience. Not only that, there are times dance should feel playful. Most people have a hard time remembering to play and dance gives you permission. Are your ready to step outside your comfort zone and find a new way of expressing movement and energetically clear the stagnation that is in your mind, body and spirit? Isn’t it time to allow play into your life and bring some joy into your energy field? If so then come dance with me.

No skills required other then bringing yourself and be ready to let go.

Mushroom Cocoa

Mushroom Cocoa Mojo

I make a big batch of this amazing healer.  It works for so many things.  Such as occasional morning cocoa, a treat, cold and flu season, respiratory season,  I feel low on energy and my immune system needs a kick, etc.

During cold, flu and respiratory season I also love to put homemade Marshmallow Root topping on top.  Yes you heard that right Marshmallow Root Topping.  I would never allow gmo, toxic sugar laden jet puff marshmallows in my house.

Besides if your house if coming down with a respiratory illnesses, then it is time to look at what caused it, such as eating sugar,  eating late at night, substance abuse, not enough sleep, too much fear porn, video games, life stress, drama, too much inside time, too much screen time, not enough forest or get out in nature time, eating toxic processed foods etc.

1 1/2 pounds organic sustainable cocoa powder

2 ounces Turkey Tail Mushroom powder

3 ounces of Lions Mane Mushroom powder

2 ounces Reishi Mushroom powder

3 ounces SUSTAINABLE CHAGA Mushroom powder

3 ounces Maca powder

Optional:  2 ounces of Vanilla Bean powder

LOVE

I like to use a sifter when blending my powders

Purchase organic and sustainable mushroom powders to make this.

After all it is about keeping you healthy so why would you want to put chemical laden unhappy energy into your body.

Be Well and Happy = Toxin free food and medicine

Be Sad, Depressed and Sick = Intake of toxins from your food, wrong foods, sugar and toxic medicine.

Mix all the powders one at a time.

Sift

Put in a gallon jug and label.  Store in cool dark place.

13417468855?profile=original

To Make:

1 Tablespoon of Mushroom Cocoa Mojo to 1 cup of organic coconut milk.

I personally like to use the organic light coconut milk and I make it in bigger bathes.

1  16 ounce can of light coconut milk

Add 4 cups of filtered or spring water

Warm gently and when it is hot add:

6 to 8 tablespoons of mushroom cocoa mojo

Whip it in good

Sweeten to taste.  I personally use organic maple syrup, organic coconut sugar or organic agave.

This beautiful little granddaughter of mine loves making herbal medicine and products.  She especially loves an occasional cup of mushroom cocoa mojo.   After all her Mama love drinking this when she was one with child in her beautiful belly.

Pine Vapor Balm 2022

Pine Vapor Balm 2022

13417477854?profile=original

This particular vapor balm has ponderosa pine resin in it.  The resin was collected in the high mountains or near central Oregon.  It was harvested in a way that does not hurt the tree.

I highly respect this beautiful tree, just as I do all plants and tree life.

If you plan to go out and harvest tree resin, such as the ponderosa pine, I ask that you respect the tree by making sure you do not take all the resin nor leave it bare underneath...

Give thanks and an offering to the tree.

What You Will Need:

1 quart jar

Corning ware pan

Towel

Oil of choice:  Such as olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil

4 tablespoons eucalyptus leaf

2 tablespoons thyme leaf

2 tablespoons peppermint leaf

Several Big chucks of pine resin.  About 7, 1 x 2 inch pieces.

Clean containers to store your salve, such as tins or jars.

Now it is time to infuse the herbs and pine resin in the oil.

Put the herbs and resin in the jar.  Now add just enough oil to cover it.

Put the towel in the corning ware pan.  This keeps the jar from breaking.  It is my version (for this day) of a double boiler.

Now add just enough water that when you put the jar in the pan  the water will not overflow.

13417478475?profile=original

Infuse all day on low heat.

Turn off and let sit over night

Next day turn it on and infuse for a few more hours.  Now it is ready to strain.

To strain you will need a strainer and a cheesecloth.   Because you are using dried herbs and resin it is ok to squeeze it and get ever bit of oil that you can out of it.

13417478892?profile=original

Now it is ready to make the balm, which is basically a salve.

1/4 cup beeswax per 1 cup of infused oil.

I ended up adding about 1/3 cup beeswax to 1 1/2 cups infused oil.

When making salves., balms or ointments you want to add little bits of beeswax at a time.  Better to add little bits at a time then to much.  Test it as you go.

I tested it by dropping a few drops of the oil with the beeswax on a spoon and I wait for it to cool off.  Then test it to see if you like the consistency.

1 1/2 cups infused oil

1/3 cup beeswax

13417479658?profile=original

Now add:

28 drops of orange essential oil

28 drops of pine essential oil

28 drops of eucalyptus

Now pour into containers of choice.  Cover but do not move until it has hardened.

13417480257?profile=original

To Use:

Rub on the tip of your noses and upper lip

Rub on chest

Have someone rub on your back

Put on your feet then put on a sock

Right before Cold/Flu and Respiratory Season I like to make many different types of herbal medicine.

13417475480?profile=original

One of the herbal medicines I love making is syrups.  I make a lot of  syrups and I especially like making syrups for coughs and lung congestion.   I make all my syrups in big batches and this way I can have it ready when the time comes.  By making a big batch of Cough Syrup I will have enough if the whole household comes down with a cough/cold/flu.

Always make sure the herbs you are using are organic and sustainably grown and harvested.

Never use plastic, aluminum, copper or microwaves when making herbal medicine.

Here is the recipe that I created for this year, the year 2022.

1/2 cup Hawthorn

1/2 cup elderberry

1 cup elecampane

1/2 cup wild cherry bark

1/2 cup echinacea augustifolia root

1/2 cup rose hips

1/2 cup licorice root

14 reishi mushroom slices

1/2 cup cinnamon chips

14 cloves

Love

16 cups of filtered, or spring water.

A big stainless steel pot

Basically you are going to make a decoction and at one point you will cook it down by half.

Put all the above herbs in the pot.  Now add 14 cups of cold water.

Bring to boil.

Turn down to a very lower simmer, such as 1 or a 2.  Cover.

Simmer for 8 hours covered on a very low (super low heat) make sure you are not losing your liquid.

Turn off and let sit overnight

Next Day

Turn the decoction on and simmer down to almost the half way point. Right before the halfway point add these herbs:

1/2 cup mullein leaf

1/2 cup marshmallow root

1/4 cup lemon balm

Love

Cover, turn off the stove and let steep covered for 4 hours.

13417477070?profile=original

Now it is time to strain the herbs and you will need a big strainer and cheesecloth.  You will have to squeeze a lot! Over and over again to get every bit of liquid out.

Keep track of how much liquid you have.  This will help give you an idea of how much honey you would like to add.  If you are adding Brandy to preserve it then it is also important to know how much liquid you have.

I had about 6ish cups of liquid left.

Now add 16 ounces of Lakewood Organic Black Cherry CONCENTRATE.

This gave me a total of 8 cups of liquid.

Add honey to taste.  I  added about 2 to 3 cups of honey

If you are planning to use this for children, tweens and teens then it is best to leave the alcohol out.  My suggestion is to put a little at a time in the refrigerator and the rest in the freezer.  Pull it out of the freezer when needed.   It can last in the refrigerator for a couple of months without alcohol.  Dispose if it has mold or a fermented smell

To preserve with Alcohol: 1/4 cup brandy (or alcohol of choice, or tincture of choice) to 1 cup syrup

I used 2 cups of hawthorn leaf, flower and berry tincture that I made.  The alcohol when help preserve the syrup.

Store in a jars and label

Store in the refrigerator.

If you did not add alcohol store some in the refrigerator and the rest in the freezer.

When The Cough Hits -Syrup Dosage:

Adults: Depending on how acute the situation is take 1/2 shot glass to a full shot glass every hour or so.  Or take 3 times a day.

Children: It is best to not give your child a syrup with alcohol in it.

Remember if you sweetened it with honey do not give it to a child that is under one years old.

younger than 2 years -- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
2 to 4 years -- 2 teaspoons
4 to 7 years -- 1 tablespoon
7 to 11 years -- 2 tablespoons

Every few hours to 3 times a day.

Walk Gently On This Earth Walk Softly with Foot Steps That Leave No Mark
Teach This Too the Children

13417472487?profile=original

Many times when I walk the land, and/or sit with the land while enjoying a cuppa tea is a time when I go into my deepest thoughts and listen for the answers. It is the stillness of the land, the sounds of nature, and the fresh air of the forest that brings ease to my being and allows me to think more freely and relax.
It is the first of November and I can feel the energy of Samhain. If one takes the time to be still, sit still in the forest one can feel the energy of the changing of the seasons. Samhain marks the end and the beginning of the Celtic year. It is the time of the year when all of life is withdrawing inside itself. It is Autumn’s end and the beginning of winter. This is the time to follow what the seasons are doing and what they are telling us to do. It is time to withdraw, it is not a time for action, it is a time to drift, to dream, to set goals to have a vision. A time to welcome inner and outer stillness, to strengthen your hopes for a new year, to meditate, to bundle up and go out into nature and breath that beautiful winter fresh air, to develop long term plans and nourish your spirit. It is also traditionally, the time to honor our ancestors and embrace our roots.
On that note my thoughts this Samhain morning got me thinking about the last few years. This led me to thinking about how our ancestors of long ago walked gently on this earth. How our elders were the story tellers who were honored as the elder and treated with gentleness and respect. All of this was my thoughts as I walked this morning.
We all have a story and if we watched and listened to the things that happened to us on a regular bases and looked deeply at life we could all have an experience that turns into a story to share. At one time stories were shared to learn from the stories. This could be stories that were shared to keep one safe, to understand a certain emotion, to understand love, and so much more.
Before I go into my Samhain Morning thoughts and experience I want to share a bit about my beliefs and what happened to me recently. I am one of those people who constantly looks at life in search of what are the lessons that Mother Earth, Great Spirit , Heavenly Father, or a Guardian Angel are trying to teach me. What stories will I collect to share?
It could be something as simple as what happened to me the other night with the Aloe Vera plant. I was walking in the living room in the dark. I was feeling a bit rushed because I was preparing to teach an herb class and I was not being aware of my surroundings. By not being aware I bent down and my left eye met with the tip of the Aloe Vera plant. This was excruciatingly painful and for the rest of the night I had to work with one eye, watering and hurting!
Now most people would just write that story off as nothing but an accident and not try to look at it as if there could be a deeper meaning. And most people would say that I am making mountains out of a mole hill if I said I wonder if there was a reason that happened. Reflection, observation, intuition and awareness are vitally important in life and are needed for spiritual and soulful growth. Spiritual lessons are given in all sizes and even in subtle ways, that are so quiet you might not see it especially if you are unaware. Sometimes spiritual lessons are subtle ones and are the biggest lessons. Most people do not see, they are too busy to stop and /or living life too fast that they miss the chance that was given to them to understand what lesson, what story was presenting itself to teach them something These days most things are explained away and/ or pushed away and the understanding of a magical experience or a spirit lesson is lost.
For me the Aloe Vera experience was important to look at it more deeply. Was there a lesson to be learned, a story to tell and share if need be. This took a few more days of deep thinking. What was interesting about my Aloe Vera experience is that most the people I told the story to blew it off as if it was nothing. I think they did not think it was as bad as I said it was because I looked OK by mid-morning the next day. If anyone asked my family they would say it looked bad. So how is this so? First I am a quick healer, I heal well. Our thoughts and beliefs are what hold us back and I knew I would get better. Second I healed quicker because I listened to what I was told to do intuitively and third I realized there was a spiritual lesson involved. There was a deeper meaning and when I had a moment I needed to think about it more deeply. I also learned that I am very good with determination because even though I only had one eye that night while I was prepping for the class, I got everything done for the class.
Here is the ending of the Aloe Vera story. It is my deep thoughts of what the meaning behind what happened to me the night the Aloe Vera hooked its claw into my eye.

When one is walking in darkness in a hurried way one should walk with the awareness to watch out for what can hook a claw into you. When the claw grabs you in the midst of darkness and becomes painful this is when you need to find your way with determination to follow through and keep going in life.

Moving forward to today, Samhain morning, my thoughts about the last few years and lessons that so many missed. As I was walking under the canopy of trees I realized that the last few years was a test. It was a test from God, from Great Spirit, From Heavenly Father and/or Mother Earth. Especially Mother Earth.

Prior to these last few years, years 2019 and backwards just about all of us know that Mother Earth, our earth can’t sustain the harm and the hurt that she receives daily. Also on a level of tribalism/community/parenting most were failing. Most have been living disconnected from their families and friends and have been living on their screens instead. On a deep level inside us, we all know this, have known this but yet most of the population refused to stop, to slow down, to walk softly, to walk gently and heal our earth and heal the mind, body and spirits of the human population.

The population moves fast in life wanting all their material possessions and gives up their voice and allows corrupt governments to rule over them. Even to the extent that everything is opposite of what should be done and decisions are made in darkness with darkness. Most have been ok with this as long as it does not interfere with their materialistic life.

Most of the population not only has given up their voice but they have given up their knowledge, their awareness, their connectedness, their intuitiveness, their adaptability, their flexibility and their patience. The population holds onto Materialism. Because of this the governments of the world are a big part of destroying the earth, my world, your world, our world and the next seven generations world They direct the population towards materialism, they love feeding it. Materialism feeds darkness, stomps on the earth, feeds slavery, creates child labor and mental health issues. Holding on to the path of materialism is how they push their fake plans for climate change or whatever they are calling it these days. Don’t get me wrong I am not putting down climate change per se, I believe we are on the verge of some serious earth changes, but not the way the world government or world economic forum promote Their plan is full of control, materialism and more rape of mother earth.

For example their plans to push electric cars are toxic and harmful. This plan will harm mother earth horribly. It entails having slavery, having control over third world countries, child labor working conditions that are toxic, all for precious metals. They will rip open the breast of mother earth even more, just for materialism just to keep going instead of changing. Electric cars need precious metals, so we go from one toxic way to a more toxic way all for what? Have you ever seen what they do to get all those precious metals out of the land? Do you realize slavery is involved with this? Child labor is a part of this? Isn’t it bad enough that your cells phones, screens etc. are all a part of this? Isn’t it horrible enough that all those cell phones, satellites, and screens are keeping slavery and child labor alive? These people have short lived horrible lives. These precious metal sights (I hate that they call it precious, precious is a beautiful new born baby, not a toxic heavy metal!) become toxic cesspools of ripped up raped mother earth. And now the governments of the world want to switch to electric cars, why because we need to rip up more land and create more sadness somewhere else? Yikes! Shouldn’t they be asking all of us to slow down, walk more gently on this earth, eat organic food, grow a garden, stop buying all these electronic gadgets, stop GMO food not create more GMO Foods and so much more? They themselves should follow these same thoughts.
The government pushes materialism, we have the biggest I want society in the history of our existence on this earth and at the same time we have such a depressed society. Mental illness is at an all-time high. We can’t keep going at a 24/7 pace, the population is falling apart from it and so is Mother Earth. To just keep doing what we have been doing by presenting something that looks different but still repeats what we have been doing will just create another environmental mess

Again when is someone, right or left finally going to say stop, slow down, walk softly on this ground we need to change our thought process from materialism to spiritualism to start caring and sharing a love for our Mother Earth. A deep love for Mother Earth could create a paradise.

As I step off of my rant which is a part of my thoughts this morning of where this is all going, was also about these last few years, the test. As I walk in the misty mountains of Oregon, through the canopy of the forest I realized this was a test from the ones that are full of love. Giving the human race a chance to understand we can’t keep up this pace as a human race and keep raping the land.

This test, this lesson, the story that we needed to learn from was and is about Materialism vs. Spiritualism. It is a lesson to let go and create a smaller life, a lesson to take your life and make your home into an earthly paradise. It was and is a lesson to connect to what was and is truly important in life for the mind, the body and the spirit.
Materialism is not the way and IT WILL destroy us and our world someday.

13417473281?profile=original

The last few years, the test, challenge so many in so many ways. Most complained of what they did not have each day. Complaints about not getting what they wanted in life. Whining and complaining about the materialistic things they could not go and do. Instead they should have been doing some deep soul searching of what was really needed to be happy inside. This was the chance to see the lesson that was given and it was not even hidden. It was right out in their face, but they were so lost in their materialistic ways.
The last few years there was so much whining over things that don’t even matter, imagine how mother earth feels when she is constantly being bombarded with abuse. Did you let yourself or your children wallow in every little materialistic thing that was missed or did you understand and explain that it was much bigger than this. Mother Earth needs us to reconnect to her and disconnect from the plug-in of materialism

The last few years (for me) by what I saw and heard and what it felt like, it was a battle between materialism vs. spiritualism. My moment this morning as I enjoyed my conversation with nature was a big wow of it was a test. It was our chance as a human race to change and very few did and now most are back at the 24/7 lifestyle with all its materialistic glory with a few new life style toxic additives that have been added to one’s life.

When a dark event comes into your life, our lives or my life and this darkness has caused pain this is your chance, my chance to see the lesson and find the determination to work through it.

All these thoughts were coming through on my Samhain walk in the forest this morning. To sum up my thoughts, the last few years was a test to stop, at first do nothing, use your heart center to think and speak, to slow down, to walk softly and lightly on this earth. It was a time to create and continue to make your home into being an earthly paradise, to grow food and have a beautiful garden. It was a time to communicate with your neighbors and create your tribe/community. It was not a time to divide more.

As I worked through these deep thoughts I looked up and there it was an Elderberry Tree. I did not know there was an Elderberry tree on this particular part of the trail. I saw the branches and they had no leaves because it was that time of the year for leaves to fall. The Elderberry Tree has such a distinct and beautiful branch. As I spotted the Elderberry branches I felt a close presence of something and just as I turned to my right I realized there was a low small cluster of Elderberries. I cut the cluster of Elderberries off and I gently and slowly carried my elder with soft steps through the forest all the way home.
I had to carry them gently because the berries would have fallen off. Here I am walking through the forest, it was misty and cold. The trails are muddy and slippery. This particular morning I had to keep my St Bernard dog on a leash because he could hear my daughter on another trail. I have my elderberries in my left hand and my dog leash in my right. He is pulling me off and on, it is slippery and wet and this is when my conclusion to my thoughts came.

13417474071?profile=original

Elderberries
We should carry our elders gently in life, to walk softly in this world, to slow down and be aware of where you are walking. Take care of what you hold dearly so it does not fall apart. To take what you have nurtured or feel connected to and make something out of it. The berries represent community, which one needs in order to have oxygen which is what give us the breath of life. If we walked more gently and softly in this world it means that you care about our world, your world and this would mean less materialism. Our world won’t survive with so much materialism and if we fail as human beings to understand this then Mother Earth and/or all the spiritual powers of this world will do it for us.
So my thoughts and experiences of the day, turned into a meaning and then a story to be shared for this day.

Power Food of The Month - Garlic

Garlic Allium sativum

Garlic has been used in cooking throughout the world for thousands of years. It is a delicious antimicrobial and warming herb for the immune system. Raw garlic works on contact to help kill germs, particularly those that target the throat, lungs, or digestive system. We eat it liberally I use it every day in my cooking, but did you know that garlic has been used for a super long time for healing? Garlic has a long history of use, including the most famous, it was used as a substitute for penicillin during World War 2, when Russian troops had very few pharmaceutical antibiotics. Garlic proved to be so effective at preventing wound infections, that the herb became known as the Russian Penicillin. It is used for digestive, and respiratory conditions (colds, flus, sinus), earaches, ring worm, athletes’ foot, yeast infections, fungal issues, for people with lymes disease, it is said to be a cure for every ailment, except bad breath. Garlic is also a powerful rejuvenating herb, strengthening along with detoxifying.

Garlic can be used in many recipes. It is considered hot, spicy, warming, and drying. Mince a clove or seven and add it to soups, salads, salad dressings, butter, ghee, olive oil, vinegar, honey, dips, pastas, spreads, and vegetables. Heck I have seen and tasted it when it was put in chocolate!

Before I move on to sharing recipes with garlic, let us look at its herbal healing powers, it’s medicinal qualities...

Actions: It has an affinity to aid the lungs, kidney, spleen, stomach, and large intestine

Increase internal heat, circulatory stimulant, antibacterial, anticoagulant (blood thinner), aromatic, decongestant diuretic, diaphoretic, alterative, digestant, carminative, expectorant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, parasiticide anti-influenza, antimicrobial, antispasmodic, and hypotensive.

Used For (To Name a Few): treatment of all lung ailments(it acts as an expectorant to expel phlegm from the lungs), colds, flus, coughs, bronchitis, pneumonia, infections, fevers, sore throats, ear aches, high or low blood pressure, indigestion, circulation, arthritis, rheumatism, pains, worms, dysentery, fungus, candida, vaginal infections and leukorrhea.

Medicinal Preps: tincture, syrup, vinegar, honey, oil, juice, bolus, douche, paste, enema, salve, food, first aid and plaster

As always and with anything, for some garlic can be hot, spicy and too stimulating. When using it as a food there is no need to make it to strong and if you make it to strong, most children will not like it.

Remember with all things, more is not necessarily better, gentle and slow is the way to go, being consistent is the key and having a variety of organic wholistic foods is what keeps you healthy.

So take the junk food out of your life, eat a variety of organic veggies and organic whole foods with garlic added to them and if you or someone in your family gets sick, then you can increase the amount of garlic that is needed for that moment in time.

A Fun Experiment:

Garlic is absorbed by the body quickly. Take a clove of garlic and rub it on your feet. You most likely will taste or smell it on the skin within seconds. When placed on the feet, garlic can have a beneficial effect on the lungs.

Garlic Honey – Recipe #1

¼ cup honey

Combine the honey and garlic in a small bowl.

Alternatively, you can warm the honey and garlic in a small non-aluminum saucepan. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool completely.

Garlic Ear Oil for Earaches -Childerns Ear Oil: Recipe by Stephen Buhaner, from his book Herbal Antivirals

YOU WILL NEED TO ORDER OR PURCHASE AN AMBER TINTURE TYPE BOTTLE (to store garlic ear oil)

Most childhood ear infections can be treated successfully with herbs. You will also find that the more you change your child’s diet by eliminating foods that their bodies cannot tolerate, such as dairy, earaches will become a thing of the past.

Also, Stephen mentions in his book ‘children are most susceptible to ear infections from antibiotic resistant strains’. When a child has become more susceptible to ear infections from antibiotic resistant strains, you need to work on their immune system, with herbs, lifestyle, and diet changes. By doing this you will make their immune system strong so they can fight off the infections or become resistant to getting the infection.

Ingredients: Please by organic when possible.

Do not use aluminum or copper cookware

5 cloves garlic

4 ounces olive oil

20 drops eucalyptus essential oil

Mince garlic

Place in a small baking dish with the olive oil

Cook over super low heat overnight. Double boiler is the best way to do this or create your own version of a double boiler

Strain using cheese cloth, press and squeeze well

Add eucalyptus essential oil to garlic oil and mix well

Place in amber tincture type bottle for storage and store in a cool dark place

Label product: name, ingredients, date and instructions on how to use

To Use:

Hold glass under hot water for 1 minute or put glass in a bowl of warm water for 1 minute

Make sure it is baby bottle warm

Dry off bottle

Place 2 drops in each ear every half hour or as often as needed for 2 to 7 days.

Winter Wellness Bone Broth

7 cups bone broth

2 16 ounce cans of kidney beans

3 carrots shredded

4 stalks celery diced

1 medium to large onion diced

7 cloves of garlic

2 fresh burdock roots peeled and chopped

4 ounces or more of shitake, maitake or oyster mushrooms. Or a little of each

2 teaspoons turmeric powder

White pepper to season

3 tablespoons of olive oil, ghee or coconut oil

1 bag of frozen spinach

1 bunch of cilantro or basil finely chopped

1 bunch of parsley, finely chopped

For the meat heaters 1 pound of meat of choice – optional – Try buffalo

In a soup pot saute the onion, celery and meat in oil

Then add:

Bone broth, carrots, garlic, burdock, mushrooms, turmeric, white pepper, spinach, kidney beans

Simmer until vegetables are tender.

Add chopped basil or cilantro and chopped parsley

Simmer another 5 minutes

Ready to eat and enjoy

If you have picky eaters, try blending all the chucky items into a puree. If they just see the meat and beans, they might try it. Sprinkle with a little organic raw cheese on top and serve with sourdough bread with garlic butter.

Garlic Butter or Ghee

½ pound of butter or ghee

3 cloves of garlic, minced super tiny

1 teaspoon lemon juice or a few gratings of lemon zest

Sea salt and white pepper to taste

Cream the butter or ghee

Then blend in the minced garlic, lemon, sea salt and pepper

Shape as desired and chill or freeze up to 6 months

Popcorn Garlic Herb Blend

¼ cup ground cumin powder

2 tablespoons garlic powder

3 tablespoons dried oregano

1 cup nutritional yeast

½ teaspoon of sea salt

¼ teaspoon of white or black pepper

Mix all together and store in jar

Always label your jars

Enjoy on buttered organic popcorn!

Roasted Garlic:

You will need a small corning ware dish with a lid or a dish that is used for roasted garlic

If you are roasting chopped up veggies, meat or potatoes you can also place the garlic bulb in the same dish. If you do this you need to drizzle a tiny amount of olive oil on top of the garlic bulb.

I personally don’t use foil to roast anything, it is made from aluminum which is toxic to the human body.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cut tips off the pointy end of a head of garlic (do not separate the cloves)

Place in the middle of the dish, drizzle a tiny amount of olive oil over the bulb, cover with lid

Heat about 30 to 40 minutes

Garlic should be a golden color and soft

Remove from oven, it will be hot so be careful

Squeeze the heads at the bottom to pop out the roasted garlic cloves

Garlic Dipping Oil – Use with a lovely baked loaf of bread

3 cloves garlic, smashed and chopped

1/3 cup organic extra virgin olive oil

¼ sea salt or pink Himalayan salt

A dash of White Balsamic vinegar – optional but super yummy

I am not giving you any medical advise.  It is up to you to research the information that is given and make your own informed choices.

Because I want to get some information out to you quickly this is going to be a short blog version, on what to do to keep your respiratory system healthy.  If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail or call and leave a message.

With most of you wearing masks for many hours day after day, using toxic hand sanitizer a zillion times a day, using toxic chemicals to clean and now the SMOKE from the fires, you are at risk for having lung issues or catching something.

I also know most of you do not have bulk herbs, so I am going to recommend things that you can get at the store or online that do not require a lot of space or time to make.   In the close future you might want to consider creating a little herbal apothecary and create your own medicine chest filled with things that you and your family might need.  Especially if a crisis happens and you can't get to a doctor.  For example something as simple as sage, sage in your garden or in your kitchen is great for a sore throats and for hot flashes.  If you look far enough back,  all of our ancestors medicine chests (pouches) were plants that they collected and not a chest full of plastic bottles with synthetic drugs with side effects.

OK I digress

Back to the subject

Lets start with the nervous system.    This system in particular is very neglected meaning so many people are feeding their nervous systems with the wrong things and end up making their situations worse.  Examples would be caffeinated products, alcohol, sweets, sugar, energy drinks, too much news, to much screen time, video games, light pollution, staying up late and emotional stress.

Oh did I say emotional stress, oh man 2020 has been the year for this, but at the same time I keep seeing people loading their grocery store carts with sugar, salt and fat and don't get me started on the long lines I see at the fast food restaurants even in the early morning.  Yikes!!  It might be comfort foods folks but if you are full of fear and worry about catching a virus (no matter what year it is), then you really should consider changing your diet and toxic comfort foods to something else.

On that note, please keep in mind alcohol sales and cannabis sales are up.  Although these items, for some people, might relax them, overuse will tax their systems to.  These particular items, dry out the system.

Diet:

Avoid all mucous forming foods:  I personally would do this for the next 4 plus months.  I know the holidays are coming, but with everyone's systems being majorly taxed this year it is vitally important to avoid SUGAR.

AVOID:

ALL SUGAR, ALL WHITE SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP

Pod Casts On The Toxicity Of Sugar:

https://www.westonaprice.org/sv/podcast/252-the-bitter-truth-about-...

https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/article/7174/55400/

All fruits high in sugar, , grapes, bananas, dried fruits - (Stick to the berry group, avocados, lime, lemon)

Cold foods - ice cream, smoothies, etc...

Dairy products,

Eggs

Refined and processed food

Artificial flavors and Colors

Hydrogenated oil

Peanuts

Soy, corn and canola

Make Sure You Get Plenty Of: Organic Whole Foods

A diet rich in green and bitter vegetables, non sweet citrus (lemons, limes, grapefruit) organic sources of protein, such as grass fed meats, pasture raised meats, lentils, beans, wild caught fish, nuts that have been soaked and dehydrated.

With the weather starting to change and cool,  it is time to think about soups and stews and bone broths.  It is time to think about eating warming foods.   Plan to eat steamed greens, roasted roots and drink hot herbal teas.

Bone Broth with Mushrooms and Veggie broth cooking.  I blended the veggie broth and added it to the bone broth.

Water - make sure you are getting enough water, drink spring water or filtered water

Rest

Sleep

Oxygen - Regular deep breathing exercises makes a happier nervous system

Recharge Your lungs - When the air clears, seek out places regularly, that are alive with fresh air, such as lakes, beaches, rivers, waterfalls and high mountains.

Exercise - When the smoke clears.  Fatigue and ill health are often caused by oxygen deficiency in the cells.  If you are not exercising you are not getting your lungs moving.  Your lungs need exercise, therefore it feeds your  body oxygen, oxygen heals.  Depleted oxygen kills, no air, no breath.  Lack of air ill health.  Masks keep you from getting adequate oxygen and they turn off your immune system. It is vital that you get good oxygen to be healthy.

Cold Water Bathing, hydrotherapy, Epsom salt baths, sitz baths and hot herbal steams.  All of these are vital to good health or help you heal.  And yes cold water bathing is healing.   It is one of the oldest and most effective forms of natural therapy.   It helps poor circulation, sluggish digestion, builds chi/energy and has many other health benefits.

To Do cold water bathing you can start in the autumn.  Start with a regular warm shower.  Then slowly or quickly begin to turn the water to cold.  Stand under it as long as possible, at least 20 seconds, being sure all parts of the body are exposed to it.  Do these several times and end your shower on cold.

If you are tired, stressed and/or inflamed try this and you will be surprised.  In the past I have had family members wake up not feeling well and I would immediately have them get into the shower and do this.  After they get out I would give them a warm cuppa tea, possible tincture in the tea and a good morning healthy meal and they were back to 100%.

If smoke is bothering you trying taking a nice warm Epsom salt bath with a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil.  A cuppa tea with one "Breath Easy" tea bag and two "Cup of Calm" tea bags and 30 drops of a relaxing nervine.   Don't fall asleep in the bath tub.    See Below for tea bag resources.

As far as the Epsom salt baths, sitz baths, hot herbal steams and/or hydrotherapy, there are lots of resources and instructions on the internet.  All are a wonderful protocol to add to your life.

Next Section:

I am assuming most of you do not have bulk herbs, so most of this program is written up using tea bags from tea companies.  Because tea bags are not very strong, you will notice I am suggesting that you use several tea bags to get the medicinal benefits of the herbs.

Please keep in mind the longer you steep your tea the more medicinal it becomes.   If you have young healthy kids, you don't need to make things strong and please use just one tea bag.

As always if you have any questions and need medical advice please contact your doctor of choice.

If you are alcohol sensitive or an alcoholic DO NOT USE TINCTURES OR ANY OTHER HERBAL PRODUCT THAT MIGHT HAVE ALCOHOL, there are alcohol free choices made with glycerin and you can also use capsules, herbal vinegar, oxymels and syrups.   There are many herbal companies out there that make them, so you will not have a problem finding alcohol free products.

CUPPA CHICORY

I believe we all need a little more Chicory...

This is a yummy tea blend.  It has a slight bitter taste (kinda of like coffee).

You can make it with water or your favorite non dairy milk.  If you choose to make it with water you can add your favorite organic non-dairy creamer .

A great tonic for the body but, especially for the liver.

Tea Time

Cuppa Chicory

2 oz roasted dandelion root

2 oz roasted chicory powder

1 oz cinnamon chips or broken up sticks

1/2 or 1 oz of licorice root (omit if you have HBP)

2 oz dried orange peel

1 oz carob powder

1 tablespoon nutmeg powder

In a bowl mix all the powders and herbs.

Put in a jar

Label

1 tablespoon per cup of water or non-dairy milk

I usually make 3 to 4 cups at a time

Put 4 cups of water or non dairy milk, in a pot and add 4 tablespoons of cuppa chicory mixture.
