Do you know what natural precautions to take that help prevent a cold or the flu or what to do if all your prevention measures fail?

I rely entirely on herbs for my families health and wellness needs.  I use herbs from my farm, from the mountains and  the ones I purchase from reliable sources.  I have  used herbs for colds,  the flu and viruses for the last 22 years.  We have not seen a doctor for colds, the flu, sore throats and viruses for over 22 years.  None of my family  in the last 22 years  has used any pharmaceuticals drugs or even  over the counter drugs like  Advil etc.  

There are too many side effects in pharmaceutical medicines  In the past when I did use Allopathic medicine (western medicine), not once did one doctor ever talk to me about diet, food intolerances, exercise, sleep, meditation, relaxation, forest bathing, limit screen time, organic food etc.   My visits consisted of here is your prescription  and see you in seven days.   I was a frustrated mom, a rebel at heart and ready for change. 

 Herbs came into my life because when my kids were little  I was tired of the constant trips to the doctor and coming home with weird pink medicine. This cycle never stopped, Once I stopped going to the doctor, changed our diets, started using herbs, my family became healthier than they have ever been.  

My knowledge grew, my love for herbs grew and I would like to share this knowledge with you.  

The human body is a complex organism. To approach healing and health in a holistic manner, multiple systems must be taken into account. For example, stress plays a big factor in the health of the immune system, as does obtaining necessary sleep, proper nutrition, and exercise. A holistic approach does not just alleviate the symptoms but seeks to restore balance within the whole system.

When the body’s defenses are weakened, infections (bacteria, viruses, or fungi) are able to manifest in the body. Fighting infection is best handled by building up the strength of the whole body.

In this class we will cover both building up the immune system to be more resilient to the virus and preventative measures if you may have come in contact with the cold or flu virus.

If all your prevention measures fail—and because they sometimes do, we will  also  be covering what to do to lessen the impact of a cold/flu. 

Because many may not know what a tincture, syrup, fire cider,  salve, chest poultice, and decoctions are the first part of the class I will give a quick run down on what these are.  

There will be samplings of elderberry syrup and fire cider.  

Recipes will be given out.

So I am offering this class, to help spread herbal knowledge, so that you may use some of these  simple remedies to help yourself and your families in times of illness or to have fewer bouts of illness, shorter duration of illness or just be more comfortable.
